Current (2019) INDUCTEES.

CD HALL OF FAME MEMBERS PRESENT ON 2019 03 08

What a magnificent day for the 2019 Hall of Fame Classic in Winterhaven!
A huge crowd assembled to play the games and to witness the induction of 4 new members into the prestigious Central District Hall Of Fame.

There were 113 players and many additional people who helped run the event.
The organizers, Jim & Ginny Chandler, Bob & Linda Marshman (curators) did an outstanding job.
New President John Houghtaling was running around taking care of loose ends. The very competent and efficient out-going President, Doug Stockman, and his wife Pat, are making this their last season in Florida. They will be greatly missed!!!

Many helpers kept the games moving- Larry Brown, David Earle, Bob Marshman, Jim & Ginny Chandler, as well as others as needed. The capable Directors were Marlene Corbeil and George Adyns.

Avon Park CDA16A Draw Any Dbls Avon Park 02/08/2019; GREAT EVENT!!

Your Source for Shuffleboard News

Avon Park Senior Activities Center was delighted to welcome 92 of The Central District’s finest ladies and gentlemen to “Florida’s Finest Shuffleboard Courts” for a very successful District Tournament.

It was great to see 52 Pros and 40 Amateurs enjoying themselves!

This tournament is designated as The Ralph Day Memorial Tournament at Avon Park. The finalists in the Pro Division and the Amateur Division were awarded $576.00 in prize money. First Place Winners in the Main in each division won $60. Funding for this tournament was made possible by All Florida Weatherproofing, The Ralph Day Memorial Fund and entry fees.

We are very proud of our group of 60 new amateurs who, under the guidance of Dick Davis, made a very impressive showing in the Amateur Division. Many of them are starting to show up now in the winner’s circles in the District.

We’re sorry if you missed this one…

Sebring Shuffleboard Club hosted by Larry & Ruth Brown held a fun Sweetheart tournament today. 2019 02 10

Your Source for Shuffleboard News

Sebring Shuffleboard Club hosted by Larry & Ruth Brown held a fun Sweetheart tournament today.

There were 70 shufflers signed up to play in this event and what a fun filled day it was. What made the day so great was what they were able to do on the courts. All rules were thrown out the window as we encourage teams to talk back and forth to their partner on what shots to take. If either a husband or a wife made a great shot they would yell down and say “meet me in the middle of the court for a valentine kiss”. There were a lot of kissing going on. Ruth & I came up with a few wrinkles to make the game a little more fun, such as, game 1; playing 8 frames on yellow & 8 frames on black, one of the partners had to get theirs…
